A message for the Youth


A South African boy has the dream of serving humanity full time, This is a dream where only his heart can understand & comprehend.   



Gift of the Givers foundation is an organization where I found peace & where I found contentment. I have been getting involved in numerous different projects with Gift of the Givers where I was given this exposure to different projects by Allaudeen Sayed (Regional Director).He does not wait for things to happen, he makes things happen. I really admire his work ethic. A lot of the good work which happens behind the scene is unspoken off, Gift of the givers impacts the lives of many on a daily bases, A heart warming experience for me was being able to connect & engage with people while distributing hampers, going into different townships & areas, understanding their perspectives & struggles on a daily bases. This has made me realized as an individual how blessed and grateful we should be.
One aspect did stick out for me which is that there is a lack of youth getting involved in humanitarian services. Based on my observation, The current youth of South Africa have the opportunity of impacting our society in a positive aspect, The choice we make today, leads to the impact we have on tomorrow. I appeal to the youth of South Africa that let us not allow our past to define who we want to be in the future. We should not allow jealousy & greed to take over us, as this will leave us a blinded nation,  We as the youth need to provide a sense of assurance to our senior citizens that we will be able to lead our rainbow nation in an ethical manner and with integrity. 
We need to ensure that the morals and values that we as the youth hold today is ethical and of integrity, We need to learn from the history our beautiful country & ensure that the role models that we each own dear to our hearts, portrays qualities such as commitment in achieving set out goals and leads with an ethical agenda, have a genuine concern for others, & focused on the greater good of society. We need to be responsible in our mental state of mind to acknowledge the fact that we as humanity need to care for others, this starts with ourselves by purification of our intentions & our heart, a clean heart wont allow your intentions to be dirty, purify your intention and the heart will be pure.
Be the reason for someone giving you a warm smile of love, Be the unspoken hero that someone aspires to be, Be the role model that you never had, Be the young responsible adult by getting involved & making things happen. It’s the accumulation of small things overtime that makes the big difference. 
You need to listen to your heart, follow your intuition & do what makes you happy, do not be pressured by your social circle and being forced to conform to the norms of your social circle, find a path where your heart will find contentment and peace and will contribute positively towards the life of yourself and to society & remember that  ‘’Best amongst people are those who benefit mankind”. #YouthAwareness #GettingInvolved2020SA

The Pursuit of Happiness

  What is happiness to you ? Is it a place ? A destination ?  What is happiness to you ? Is is time spent in blissful meditation ?   We tie out happiness to the big moments, to  achievements, to the next big purchase, to things outside of our reach. So its more like an unending journey. What happens when the rush is gone ? What happens when all has been said and done ? Is it time to go on a search again ? Is it time to aim for that rush again ?  The pursuit soon becomes a addiction, searching for the rush of emotions and all this while, happiness has been right there.
